Mission

Farm Fresh RI is a 501c3 non-profit founded in 2004 with a big mission—growing a local food system that values the environment, health & quality of life of farmers & eaters. Part incubator, part activator, we offer access, education, & distribution programs aimed at building healthier communities, increasing access to fresh food, strengthening community-based businesses, and improving the impact of food production & distribution on our environment. In 2014, Farm Fresh adopted the Food Solutions New England Food Vision as a guiding vision for our organization. The regional plan has a goal of building capacity for New England to produce 50% of its own food by 2060. Right now, 90% of the food we consume comes from outside of the region.
