The mission of the American Bionics Project is to stimulate the development of revolutionary technologies that enable people with lower-limb disabilities to thrive through freedom of upright mobility. Our vision is a world in which wheelchairs are obsolete and everyone, regardless of physical condition, can walk, run, and play to the full extent of the human spirit. We are working hard to be the world leader in this space by setting ambitious goals, driving strategic investment, and fostering greater collaboration among thought leaders and key industry players. Right now the pace of innovation for people with disabilities is excruciatingly slow. Ultimately, we want to help promising innovations make it out of the lab and to the people with disabilities who can benefit from them.
