Founded in 1999, Ocean Bay Community Development Corporation (OBCDC) aims to revitalize the Rockaway Peninsula, enhancing self-sufficiency and quality of life. Focused on over 10,000 residents across five NYCHA developments, our services include Resident Case Management, Workforce Development, and Community Engagement. Evolving from an information hub, OBCDC offers senior transportation, job training & workforce development, an older adult center, a family enrichment center, and youth sports programs, including the Girls Scouts. Our locally rooted team ensures impactful programs, leveraging community trust and institutional knowledge from our Ocean Bay Apartments headquarters. Our deep-rooted understanding of the Rockaways' social and cultural fabric ensures our programs are impactful.
