Mission

Big Apple Cats was recently formed in March, 2025. We received our IRS determination letter in June 2025. We are not yet listed on their electronic database but expect that to happen soon! Inspired by the parable of the starfish, Big Apple Cats is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats and kittens in need, one life at a time. We take pride in truly 'making a difference to that one'. Our mission is 2 pronged- #1 help cats and #2 help the people who help the cats. Anyone can be a rescuer- and we want to support the individual person who helps an individual cat. By helping the people who help the cats, we can inspire more people to save starfish of their own!
