Operation Dignity Inc

Mission

Since 1993, Operation Dignity’s mission has been to create pathways to health and housing for the most vulnerable individuals experiencing homelessness in our community, including several programs dedicated to homeless veterans. We help our program participants reach their housing goals by providing a continuum of service from comprehensive street outreach and shelter to permanent supportive housing. Because of our track record and impact, in 2001 the City of Oakland contracted us to lead their Mobile Street Outreach program. In 2017, the City of Oakland also selected us to operate three Community Cabins sites with a total of 120 beds where any individual coming directly from the street or an encampment can be given temporary shelter.
