Mission

Since 1994, Brevard Zoo has advanced its mission "to share our joy of nature to help wildlife and people thrive" through interactive, meaningful Zoo experiences, hands-on Conservation Learning programs, rehabilitation centers for vulnerable species such as sea turtles, manatees and Florida black bears, and conservation initiatives including the Restore Our Shores program to help the Indian River Lagoon. All Zoo programs, which are enjoyed by more than 550,000 people of all ages annually, are specifically designed to foster connections to nature and wildlife, and inspire a passion for environmental protection.
