Mission

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. Since the opening of our Downtown Santa Cruz clubhouse in 1969, we have done this by providing safe spaces, caring adult mentors, and enriching programs focused on academics, recreation, art, music, and character development for local youth aged 5-18. Daily activities included homework help, art, reading, physical activities, self-directed play, and free healthy meals. In addition, we offer seasonal specialty programs that include theater, music, swim lessons, a surf club and a youth basketball league.
