Merced Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

Mission

Our mission has been to work collaboratively with the Merced Animal Control Division to save as many shelter animals as we can through rescue, foster and transport; to improve our community's environmental health and safety by reducing illnesses in feral animals through trapping and vaccinations, and to continue to spay and neuter of as many of Merced's animals as we can through our TNR program in an effort to decrease the overwhelming euthanasia rate due to abandonment, abuse and overpopulation. The Merced Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focusing on the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) Program. This is a local chapter and not affiliated with any national programs.
