Mission

The Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that serves as a source of information for pet owners seeking services and resources to care for their pets, and for anyone looking to help improve the lives of NYC's animals. Through our website, blog, informational phone line, and direct communications, we provide information to help people gain access to services, resources, and guidance related to pet care and other pet-related issues. Between 2005 and 2019, the Alliance’s life-saving programs and services helped to increase the live release rate at NYC's Animal Care Centers to more than 90 percent. While we work collaboratively with the City of New York, we are a 501(c)(3) charity and do not receive any government funding, nor are we a city agency.
